Here is my summer edit of some of my favourite independent small brands out there. You simply cannot beat supporting some of these small businesses and their unique take on style. Their quality and cut makes them stand out from the high street and so many have such great stories to tell - be it the makers or the face behind the brand. So please take time to visit their websites and support them if you can through these challenging times. So many of these gorgeous brands support the slow fashion movement and have a more ethical and sustainable take on fashion which is so important.
I’ve also tried to include some new brands in my edit, to make it more diverse. I want to support more black owned businesses so you can expect to see more of them included in my fashion edits going forward.

DRESSES
My go to brands for dresses have to be Dilli Grey, Kemi Telford and Johanna Sands. They make dresses that empower you and feel feminine and unique. Studio B also always have a strong edit of Danish brands I love plus she also stocks the much in demand Sleeper dresses. New to my list is Sika - all designed in the UK and handmade ethically in Ghana using Batik cottons, fulfilling my print and colour obsessive dream!
SHORTS
I have been obsessed with these L.F. Markey towelling shorts the last couple of weeks! There is something so retro about them, I only wish I had a holiday to go on to justify getting them! Their sister brand Meadows also have some beautiful ones I’ve included below. Bring on the sunshine!!
SUNGLASSES & SANDALS
Trekking sandals are big again this summer and Nanou Beachwear have such a pretty selection, lots of Liberty prints (do size up though). Other fave independent sandal brands are Air & Grace, Esska and The Small Home. I love Vow London for fun glittery sunglasses with sustainable values.
