September is here (hooray!) and as always the arrival of Autumn fashion and a shift in mindset to the new season. I see September as time for a fresh start and a great opportunity to re-evaluate your wardrobe and sense check for the all important investment building blocks that will help take you into the new season. Go to timeless pieces that offer versatility, longevity and confidence but also elevate your looks. Albaray has been a favourite brand of mine since they launched a couple of years ago and always deliver on the hero pieces that will work hard in your everyday wardrobe. I like their easy to wear, well priced collections that carry a sustainable approach with everything thoughtfully designed and responsibly sourced and made. I know many of you have discovered them via my socials and I am so happy to be working with them again this season to share a selection of my favourite pieces from their new range that has just launched. I also have a 20% OFF CODE WITH EMMAPATON2O (for use on full price styles until 22nd September).
First up I’m excited to share this Relaxed Check Blazer in a wool blend. It has a classic notch lapel collar and flap pockets but with a more modern cut that I love - slightly oversized and easy! This Blazer instantly smartens up any look and is a really great in between jacket before it gets too cold. Wear casually with jeans and a white tee or smarten it up for a workwear look with a white blouse and slim black trouser. This timeless check is a wardrobe must have and I’m super excited to wear this as a real hero piece in my Autumn looks.
Check Wool Mix Blazer (wearing size 12) worn back with Cream Scoop Neck Top (wearing size 12) and Dark Wash Relaxed Jeans (Wearing size 14 for a looser fit) all by Albaray. Shoes Russell & Bromley, Bag Celine.
Denim is big news for AW23, seen all over the catwalks but in my mind it never goes out of fashion and will always be my wardrobe foundation! This season is all about the DDD - triple denim!!! I love this tonal dressing look, it’s a lot of fun and super versatile - mix and match! The denim shirt is always such a useful ‘throw on over everything’ style and works well as a jacket alternative in the transitional weather period. The denim waistcoat is a really great investment for this season too - team with jeans, trousers, skirts and over dresses,
I’ve teamed the Oversized Denim Shirt (wearing size 12) with the Organic Denim Flared Jean (wearing size 12 but size up if you have a fuller tummy) and the Denim Waistcoat (wearing size 12, size up if you have a large bust) all from Albaray. Shoes old Topshop.
The trench is the perfect Autumn throw on when you need an extra layer and this Belted Trench Coat is a timeless wardrobe classic. It’s a relaxed fit but you could even size up if you wanted for a more modern look. I love the wide cuffs and high quality organic cotton fabric used, a style that will stand the test of time. The trench is great for workwear but also for a casual everyday look too and it works over dresses before we get into wool coat season.
The denim dress is a go to style for me, a no brainer that always makes me feel good! I like a blouson sleeve and it can be dressed up with knee high boots or worn casually with trainers. This Denim Collar Midi Dress is a goodie!
Denim Collar Midi Dress (wearing sz 12, fit is generous size down if you prefer more fitted), Belted Trench Coat (wearng sz12) from Albaray. Boots Boden, trainers Nike, Bag Celine.
A layering top is essential in Autumn and is often the one piece that I update each season as it is so well worn! This Cream Scoop Back Top is fitted in a ribbed jersey and also comes in black. The scooped back detail is lovely and even means it could take you from day into evening (plus it’s bra friendly).
Lastly can we discuss how good are Albaray at making the best LBD! A black dress is always an essential and the mixing of woven and jersey on this Bardot Dress is genius - fullness in the skirt but feminine, fitted and comfortable on the top. They also have a more relaxed oversized version here and a jersey and cord one coming soon!
I’ve shown it styled here with ballet flats and pulled out my old Alexander McQueen silk scarf as I’m loving neck scarves for AW23! Also back with some statement boots for a bit of fun to elevate your look - love these silver boots!
Wearing Bardot Woven Mix Dress (size 12), Silver boots Jigsaw, Ballet flats Mango, Silver bag Anthropologie.
