As part of my #ShopSmall #ShopIndependent campaign this Christmas, I'm very excited about a new contemporary family Christmas Festival that's opening up on 1st December called Greenwich Winter Time Festival. So we've only just returned from Damp Bestival, sorry Camp Bestival in Dorset, so I thought it would be good to write a few words whilst things are still fresh (as fresh as they can be after a muddy festival) in my mind! I actually survived and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought and Finn was a total legend and as for the husband...

With Camp Bestival less than 3 weeks away we are in full prep mode! With the 'Popstars and Rockstars' theme this year we decided we wanted to make a guitar as a fun prop for Finn to take with him.

We are hitting family favourite festival Camp Bestival in July. Held in Lulworth Castle in Dorset, this will be my first ever trip to Camp Bestival and the first festival I have taken the kids. It's going to be interesting as I'm not going to lie... I don't like camping!

So my son, Finn, is a SERIOUS Lego fan. From about age 3 he massively got into 'little lego' (as opposed to 'big lego' duplo) and in particular Ninjago. Now if you don't know what Ninjago is, it's a lego theme based around four young ninjas, Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane who are all trying to combat the evil Lord Garmadon and his skeleton army. Serious stuff.

Finn is a big fan of games on the iPad and iPhone these days, he's at a good age to understand them (3.5 yrs old) and will happily sit and play them independently, it always amazes me how they always just know what to do?! This is pretty useful when you've got a million chores to run around the house doing! We all need moments of time out from our little ones - be it for housework duties...

Finlay Fox have been hosting a series of Mama Meet ups in collaboration with cool East London lifestyle store Olive Loves Alfie East over the Summer. As a mum who really struggled after having my first baby and found it lonely after having my second, I thought it would be nice to create a get together to meet other mums in a relaxed open setting.

We finally visited the Victoria Miro Gallery in Islington yesterday after hearing such great things about it. I feel so lucky to have this so close to where I live in London and I am starting to make more of an effort to do some more cultural adventures every week, even with baby Violet in tow.

It's been a little while since I posted on activities for little ones (I did do a Mini London Part 1 post back in September see here). As the weather warms up I'm so excited to start spending more time outside and checking out some of these places. This is part 2 of our top London picks with children, indoor and outdoors, as we all know we can't rely on the Great British Summer weather!

Finn recently turned three and we threw him a dinosaur themed birthday party. I think this will be the last year we can get away with a small gathering at home (why are even these small gatherings so exhausting?!) with just a few pals over- next year we will need more space and have to hire somewhere out.

With the colder months here, maternity leave and pending new baby arrival we are going to be watching a lot of TV in our house over the coming months...staying in is the new going out so I've heard...
I remember watching a fair bit on my iPad in the middle of the night whilst breastfeeding with Finn (Hart of Dixie and Friday Night Lights were easy viewing with lots of seasons worth to keep me going), so I need to start downloading and stocking up on some new programmes for this time round.

We recently got to go to the brilliant Little Angel Theatre Company to see 'Wow Said the Owl', a puppetry theatre production of Tim Hopwood's children's book.
